Bon Jovi night= success!!!!

Words can not describe how fabulous Bon Jovi was this past Thursday! Jon Bon Jovi has won a bigger place in our hearts, especially after his on-stage deck change (for 48, he looks good with his shirt off). Our hips were thrusting to "Living on a Prayer" and "You Give Love a Bad Name" like there was no tomorrow and our seats were especially excellent, off to the side in a box, in a very cool VIP area. Bruce fans and Bon Jovi fans are definitely different, as there were more leather jackets and stiletto boots at Staples, as well as no pit, but fun was had by all. We didn't need to know every song in the catalog to enjoy this 2 hour music fest, along with a more-than-decent opening act, Dashboard Confessional. So the overall rating? It was Twin-tastic! Bon Jovi has definitely held up over the years; Jon's voice is as good as it's ever been. And Richie Sambora (although a terrible dresser and kind of gross) is still a phenomenal guitar player! This definitely is a legendary Twin event!

Review- Dear John

Being the cinematic emotional wreck that I am, I was "inconsolable" during this silver screen adaption of Nicholas Spark's novel. Set during the summer of 2001, it tells the story of Savanna and John and their war-ravaged relationship blooming from the "accidental" fall of Savanna's purse into the ocean. Spanning across about 6 years (more or less, although by looking at Amanda Seyfried, you'd never be able to tell), the fairy tale happy ending can not be expected from this tear-jerker. Sweet and sappy, cute and date-night perfect, it was a nice calm-down for a Saturday afternoon. And just a side note- although this picture was not taken this Saturday (it was taken when we went to see "When in Rome" last weekend), it's fully appropriate due to the poster in the back. Also, it exemplifies what happens when the twins don't call each other before meeting up.
